(for information on this character as a party member, see Big Bull)

Big Bull is first encountered as Big Bull Evil King (巨牛魔王, Kyogyū Maō, literally "Big Bull Demon King") who, unlike previous Evil Kings, has no aspirations for world conquest. He challenges Stan simply for the purpose of fighting strong opponents and becoming stronger himself.

He waits for the party on the lowest floor of the Big Tree Hole in Tenel Forest.

Battle[]

Big Bull has a staggering HP of 2746 and very high strength. He primarily uses physical attacks and, depending on character level, can even KO party members with one hit. He will also make use of weak Fire attacks that hit the entire party and will boost his allies' attack power.

Strategy[]

It's recommended that the player first ensure that they're a comparable level of 25-28 and have a large supply of Nuts and Energy Flowers, as being under-leveled or unable to heal will make the battle significantly more difficult.

Be mindful of the party's health as your opponents are strong and will attack in groups which can result in very high cumulative damage. With this in mind, it's not recommended to start the fight using specials as these can waste turns that could otherwise be spent attacking and leave the party vulnerable to the group attacks. Instead, minimize the threat of group attacks, and resulting instant-KOs, by focusing attacks on the Burly Bulls and paring down enemy numbers.

The weaker Bulls will be at an elemental disadvantage to Kisling and lightning attacks. Using Storm is inadvisable as LP should be conserved for Ari's Mend and Heal specials and with his elemental advantage, Kisling's regular attacks should be sufficient. Rosalyn's Charged Parasol, however, can be effective against them so long as her HP is kept high enough to use it.

Once the Burly Bulls have been defeated, the party is freed up to use stat-boosting specials and attack Big Bull. He is at a disadvantage to Ice attacks, so try to keep Rosalyn attacking at every opportunity, sparing turns only to use items as needed, but conserve Ari's HP to use Overdrive on himself and his teammates before joining Rosalyn with Blizzard Sword or regular attacks.

Using Overdrive on Kisling to compensate for his elemental disadvantage is useful, but because his already low attack power is weak against Big Bull, he can be relegated to healing and support with items and specials like Speedy or Burden, only attacking when everyone's health is high. Big Bull's attacks will be effective against Kisling, so the other characters will likely need to stop attacking to heal or revive him often.
